True, it's very hard to get into trouble through 3A/3B with the runout lane and having lots of space, but it's hard to nail it perfectly and hold a lot of speed. I just love the feeling of coming down such a steep hill, hard on the brakes downshifting and into corners.

1A has never really bothered me, just keep the foot to the floor......I wouldn't have it any other way ha ha!

5A/5B/6 is tricky though. And there can be consequences there!

Turn 8 is a lot of fun, I have found, if you can get your tail stepping out a bit and ride the throttle!

Overall, my second favorite track to ORP, ahead of PIR. Hard on the tires though.

When I was at PR last 5a/5b/6 just clicked for me. Not sure why, but it did. Just a little bit of tire sliding through 5a/5b showing that was all I could do. The instructor was very pleased. For the rest of the track I was mostly tip-toe-ing around, putting him to sleep.

As for PIR, I think it's a great high(er) speed track that's great for learning because it's fairly safe. Far fewer places to destroy your car compared to PR. :o For all-out fun though it isn't in the same league as PR and ORP. Elevation changes really make a track interesting and keep you coming back for more.

Well someone's got to chip in about PIR. I like PIR because its a real speed track, some technical sections for sure, but lots of speed. I found I could really get into the rythym of the track much easier than PR, and could just blank out my mind and drive. At PR, I am always thinking, and that is never a good thing unless I am being paid to do it

PIR is also pretty easy on your car too. ORP has tons of shifting and revving which is a blast, but harder on your car.

I wish I lived in Portland...or better yet, move those tracks to White Rock. :D

Jeff, I'm in full agreement with the philosophy of the advanced lapping sessions that you've organized and are planning for the future. Definitely count me in as one of the "any track and whenever possible" folks. More seat time and on different tracks are the key ingredients that I'm most in need of, so I'm open to things like back-to-back days and out-of-town excursions (although some "coaching" certainly wouldn't hurt either :) ) . A couple of run groups, maxxing the crowd at no more than 15-20 at some of the more interesting circuits seems reasonable - it is, understandably, just a lot more logistically and administratively for you to take on. Pricing-wise, I support the other comments already made. Paying more for higher quality time is an equation I can perfectly live with.

Looking forward to getting back out there this year!

Hi Jeff,

SIgn me up for all your Mission days, but hopefully they didn't fall on a Monday.

Cost is not an issue. You should never lose money organizing these for us.

Would love to try PR once or twice this year with my RS depending on which days of the week.

Other tracks are probably too far for me (impossible to get more than one day off)...will have to wait till I retire...

Ok,

Lets take a roll call of those interested in an advanced day at Mission (to start with), reduced number of cars, even from our regular days, and high level coaching available.

Cheers

difficult to achieve as too many advanced drivers in our groups would like to participate in your days.

I actually never feel crowded out there in all of your previous Mission days as usually less than half of the drivers were out on the track at a certain time.

Anyway, I'm in.

I'd be game for one day with you and the keeners at Mission. Please check for any tempting date conflicts down south first though! Sunny time of year would be best!

Hi Jeff,

Just got back into town from skiing at Whistler (quiet mountains but I miss the Olympic buzz)
Count me in on any of the tracks this year, I am good with any of the formats as long as I am sharing the track with the experienced group such as last year.
I am always happy to run Mission but this year I finally have some time on my hands and so would love to do more PR and PIR this season as well.

Regards,
Ross

Al right,

We are hoping to partner with Bullet Racing this year to bring an even better program to the track than we did in the past two years. We should have some dates picked by week's end. We are hoping to run 4 mission days and at least 1 Seattle day. A road trip to ORP/PIR is still in the early planning stages.

Our regular mailing list is being updated right now, and will include those listed above. So far, for the days I see interest from;

James D
TIm T
Allan J
Ross B
Ken W
Roland B
Rob M
Jason F
Bob Y
Uli J
Ryojo A
Brian F
Lloyd C
Cheyne I

Again, this will not be a profit venture for Pacific Western Performance or Bullet Racing. We are looking to put together a great track experience at the best possible cost for participants. We are open to format suggestions so do not be shy posting or shooting me and email info@pacificwesternperformance.com about what your perfect track day would look like!!

Cheers
